COVID-19 Public Notice:
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, Governor Charlie Baker has already declared for the public health emergency remains in the effective beginning on Tuesday, March 10, 2020.
Reopening Massachusetts has been already announced in the effective beginning on Saturday, May 29, 2021 for the phase 4 in the Step 2 with fully capacity of 100% to open for the public to attend the parade.
Jimmy Hui, President/Chief Executive Officer at The Jimmy Hui Foundation office is very pleased to announce that Mayor Thomas P. Koch and the City of Quincy will be bring you back for your favorite summer kickoff festivities to host 70th Annual Quincy Flag Day Celebration begins on Saturday, June 12, 2021 to opens for the residents, persons with disabilities, citizens and the public are cordially invited to come and attend the parade procession route begins at 7:00 p.m. where it will take place from Quincy Square on Coddington Street to Hancock Street via Central Middle School towards to Merrymount Parkway ends at Adams Field and the firework display begins at 9:00 p.m. where it will take place from Wollaston Beach (Quincy Bay) on Quincy Shore Drive here in the City of Quincy.
There will be no formal ceremony and fireworks held at Pageant Field located on 1 Merrymount Parkway due to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis for some reasons until the further notice.
The 70th Annual Quincy Flag Day Celebration 2021 is proud to be part of the sponsors by: Department of Natural Resources: Quincy Park Department and Quincy Recreation Department to host a special events with a full tradition of this great City of Quincy's pride.
Since 69 years ago, the Quincy Flag Day Parade was part of the Koch Club founder by Richard J. Koch who organizes the special events to celebrate on Flag Day in the summer of 1951 to honor of these brave men and women who are currently serving in the military and served as a veterans in the Air Force, Armed Forces, Coast Guard, Marines, National Guard and Navy to fulfilled their duties and responsibilities to keep our country safe and sound in the harm's way right here at home and abroad where they are currently traveling in all across the country and around in the world.
The Quincy Access Television (QATV) will broadcast live coverage for the 70th Annual Quincy Flag Day Parade and Fireworks celebration festivities on QATV Channel 8, QATV.org website and QATV Facebook Live throughout the evening right here in the City of Quincy.
There will be public transportation are provided by the MBTA to use buses and subways to attend the 70th Annual Quincy Flag Day Parade celebration throughout the evening here in the City of Quincy.
