Jimmy Hui, President/Chief Executive Officer at The Jimmy Hui Foundation office is very pleased to announce that Mayor Thomas P. Koch and The City of Quincy will host their 35th Annual Cleaner, Greener In Quincy to return in the spring of 2024 season right here in the City of Quincy which it would be a great opportunity for the residents, persons with disabilities, citizens, elected officials and the City of Quincy employees should take their time off away from the school and work to do some volunteering and do some community service to help out with a full major clean up efforts around in the neighborhood areas where we have couple of leftovers from Northeaster storm in this year.

 

The 34th Annual Cleaner, Greener In Quincy will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 begins at 9:00 a.m. -- 12:00 p.m. at all of variously locations to start from Ward 1 through Ward 6 community areas here in the City of Quincy which it is now free admission to open for the residents, persons with disabilities, citizens, elected officials and the City of Quincy employees can sign up for the volunteering and participate in the event throughout this spring season.

 

This admission is always free of charge to the public can participate for a little bit spring cleaning to do some community service during this spring season here in the City of Quincy!

 

This year, the Cleaner, Greener In Quincy is now officially proud to sponsors by: Quincy Climate Action Network, Quincy Environmental Network, Department of Natural Resources, Quincy Park Department, Quincy Public Works Department, Quincy Public Schools, Quincy Parks Conservancy, Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Capitol Waste and Stop & Shop Supermarket.

 

Mayor Frank McCauley and Mayor James A. Sheets launches to organize for the Cleaner, Greener In Quincy debut in the beginning spring of 1989 all across the citywide here in the City of Quincy.

 

The Cleaner, Greener In Quincy event draws nearly for more than 1,500 volunteers each year to do clean up some more than 25 public areas recommended by the residents, persons with disabilities and the citizens of Quincy. The Citywide clean up efforts are following: beaches, marshes, parks, playgrounds and school yards around in the community here in the City of Quincy.

 

The Department of Natural Resources, Quincy Park Department and the Quincy Public Works Department will provide tools including with rakes, brooms and gloves for the residents, persons with disabilities, citizens and the City of Quincy employees throughout the clean up day here in the City of Quincy.

 

All of the participants will receive free "Cleaner, Greener Quincy" t-shirts and are invited to attend the barbeque luncheon at 12:30 -- 2:00 p.m. hosted by Mayor Thomas P. Koch at Pageant Field located at 1 Merrymount Parkway, Quincy, MA right after the clean up efforts all across the citywide throughout the day.

 

There will be several foods: hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, potato chips and beverages: soda, juice and water are provided and preparation by the recreation staff from the Quincy Recreation Department at Pageant Field.

 

Weather Permitting: Rain or Shine.
