COVID-19 Public Notice:

The Boston Pops Orchestra have been announced that DCR Hatch Shell Esplanade will not return at least until in the summer of 2022 to see how it goes with the data, trending and vaccine roll out continue ongoing on the COVID-19 pandemic crisis right here in the state of Massachusetts. 

 

The Boston Pops Fireworks Spectaculars Concert have already moved from DCR Hatch Shell to the Boston Common in the order to continue for the 2021 summer entertainment as long as we are ready to celebrate of the 4th of July festivities here in the City of Boston. 

 

The show must go on as scheduled and as planned right here and right now begins on Sunday, July 4, 2021 during in the primetime line up.

 

Jimmy Hui, President/Chief Executive Officer at The Jimmy Hui Foundation office is very pleased to announce that Boston Pops Fireworks Spectaculars is coming back for your favorite patriotic song and continuing to celebrate on the 4th of July festivities right here in the City of Boston during this summer kickoff starts right here and right now. 

 

The 48th Annual Boston Pops Fireworks Spectaculars 2021 will start beginning on Sunday, July 4, 2021 from 8:00 -- 11:00 p.m. at Boston Common located on Tremont Street, Charles Street, Park Street and Beacon Street here in the City of Boston.

 

The Boston Pops Fireworks Spectaculars concert will be carrying live televised, radio and live stream coverage on Bloomberg TV and radio and WHDH-7News to open for the residents, persons with disabilities, citizens and the public are welcome to watch on the TV, listen on the radio and watch on the tablet, smartphone device or on the computer throughout the primetime line up.

 

The 48th Annual Boston Pops Fireworks Spectaculars Concert are very pleased to proud presents: Acting Mayor Kim Janey and the City of Boston and Governor Charlie D. Baker and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The Tanglewood is working very closely with the partners and organizations to invite veterans and other members of the military, first responders, health care workers, community groups and sponsors as guests for the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectaculars Concert on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Boston Common here in the City of Boston. 

 

Free tickets will be also be made available to the general public, though a ticket will be required for entry to the grounds: these tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis, with a four-ticket per household limit only available on the Tanglewood's official website with the details, please click here, by starting on Monday, June 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the morning to sign up and register. 

 

Free tickets for special groups and the general public, with a ticket required for entrance to the grounds, the concert is strictly limited to an audience of 9,000 per allowance set by the City of Boston and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

What is not allowed - What is allowed:
To ensure the safety of all visitors to the Boston Common, the following rules will be strictly enforces on July 4th. Unless noted below, no backpacks, shopping bags or similar type containers may be carried onto the Boston Common, and all carried items are subject to inspection.
 
Prohibited Items:

  • No coolers on wheels -must be carried by shoulder strap

  • No backpacks

  • No Firearms, Weapons, Sharp Objects or Fireworks

  • No glass containers

  • No Cans

  • No pre-mixed beverages

  • All liquids will be carried in sealed clear plastic containers not exceed 2 liters in size

  • No grilling, propane tanks or open flames

  • No bicycles will be allowed through the checkpoints into the Public Garden or Boston Common. Bicycles are allowed throughout the rest of the venue, but most not be left unattended. Bicycles attached or locked to security fences, poles, etc. will be subject to removal.

  • No unattended bags

  • No drones

Allowed Items:

  • All personal items must be carried in clear bags only

  • Pop Tents/Canopies with no sides -maximum size 10 x 10

  • Blankets or tarps no bigger than 10 x 12

  • Folding/Beach Chairs only

  • No tents/canopies allowed

Emergency Medical Services personnel are located in the City of Boston. As a precautionary measure against extreme heat, Boston EMS will operate mist tents will operate water spray, dispensers containing complimentary SPF 30 sunscreen available at Boston Common. Please protect yourself.

The commuter rail and subway systems are favorable alternative to driving and parking for Boston events. On Sunday, July 4, 2021, all bus and train fares will not be collected after 9:30 p.m.
