Mission Statement

Mission Statement:

 

The Jimmy Hui Foundation is a part of organization since in the beginning of the summer of 2003 to bring our community here in the City of Quincy which it will be served with children and adults with physical, communication and other challenges to learning with special needs.

 

Jimmy Hui, President/Chief Executive Officer at The Jimmy Hui Foundation who created an idea to organize to help with people with disabilities, public health, safety, security and transportation issues around in the community here in the City of Quincy.

 

In the summer of 2002, The Happy Acres Foundation was launched for the summer program with special needs at Happy Acres with a full partnership and association by the Quincy Recreation Department will be part of the summer transition with excellent programs, transportation services and lunch services provided throughout the summer season at Pageant Field. We will have an excellent staff from the Quincy Recreation Department are extremely well-being trained and will be planning a safe and fulfilled with a full supervision throughout the summer program here in the City of Quincy.

 

Under the jurisdiction by the Quincy Recreation Department is now enrolled to opens for all of Quincy residents with special needs from age 3-22 years old from Quincy Public Schools Special Education Department and 22 years and older from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services who are eligible to participate for the summer program with special needs at Happy Acres and will provided with the transportation services by the Quincy Public Schools throughout the summer season here in the City of Quincy.

 

In the summer of 2012, Amy Gibbons-Herlihy is a named for her new role position to serve as Vice President/Chief Operating Officer at The Happy Acres Foundation to take a full responsibility to work with the parents and/or guardians of disabled persons from Quincy Public Schools or Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services who needs help and assistance to provide service for the summer recreational program information from Quincy Recreation Department about Happy Acres at Pageant Field throughout the summer season here in the City of Quincy.

 

In the summer of 2023, The Happy Acres Foundation and Quincy Recreation Department have celebrated their 60th Anniversary of Happy Acres when the summer day camp was first major debut in the beginning summer of 1963 which it was founded by William F. Ryan, Director of Recreation who created for the summer recreational program to open for the Quincy residents with age 3-22 years old and 22 years and older are eligible to participate throughout the summer season here in the City of Quincy. The summer recreational program have been changed with the name from Happy Acres Day Camp in the beginning of summer of 1963-2003 to Happy Acres in the beginning of summer of 2003 through present under the leadership by Michelle Hanley, Director of Recreation. 

 

The North Quincy Nights was officially launched in the beginning of summer of 2008 which it is part of the neighborhood watch program by the National Neighborhood Watch formerly known as USAonWatch.org to help and assisting with the residents, persons with disabilities, citizens, law enforcement officials, first responders, emergency personnel and the public during the day and night for the public health, safety, security and transportation efforts around in the community here in the City of Quincy, City of Boston, Town of Braintree, Town of Weymouth and Town of Milton.

 

In the winter of 2013, The North Quincy Nights Strategic Response Unit was officially launched with first major debut in the order to provide with a public health, safety, security and transportation issues to assist with the residents, persons with disabilities, citizens and the public around in the community here in the City of Quincy, City of Boston, Town of Braintree, Town of Weymouth and Town of Milton. The North Quincy Nights Strategic Response Unit will continue to work very closely with the first responders, emergency personnel and the law enforcement officials around in the clock throughout the day and night to respond for any emergency situation.

 

In the summer of 2018, The Jimmy Hui Foundation for Law and Government was officially launched with first major debut in the order to provide with a public health, safety, security and transportation issues to assist with the residents, persons with disabilities, citizens and the public around in the community here in the City of Quincy, City of Boston, Town of Braintree, Town of Weymouth and Town of Milton. The Jimmy Hui Foundation for Law and Government will continue to work very closely with the first responders, emergency personnel and the law enforcement officials around in the clock throughout the day and night to respond for any emergency situation.

 

The Jimmy Hui Foundation for Law and Government and The North Quincy Nights Strategic Response Unit are always to work with our partnership from: Brewster Ambulance, Quincy Fire Department, Quincy Police Department, Quincy Public Schools, Quincy Public Works Department, Brewster Ambulance, Boston Emergency Medical Services, Boston Fire Department, Boston Police Department, Boston Public Schools, Boston Public Works Department, Weymouth Fire Department, Weymouth Police Department, Weymouth Public Schools, Weymouth Public Works Department, South Shore Hospital EMS, Milton Fire Department, Milton Police Department, Milton Public Schools, Milton Public Works Department, Braintree Fire Department, Braintree Police Department, Braintree Public Schools, Braintree Public Works Department, Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency, Massachusetts Department of Transportation, Massachusetts State Police Department, MBTA, MBTA Transit Police Department, Norfolk County Sheriff Department, Norfolk County District Attorney's Office, Suffolk County Sheriff Department, Suffolk County District Attorney's Office and Massachusetts Attorney General's Office around in the clock throughout the day and night to focus on the public health, safety, security and transportation matters here in the City of Quincy, City of Boston, Town of Braintree, Town of Milton and Town of Weymouth.
