Presidents Day WinterFest to be Held February 19th:


Quincy, MA -- On Monday, February 19, 2024, Mayor Thomas P. Koch and the City of Quincy will host Presidents Day WinterFest 2024, a family-friendly holiday event.

The afternoon and early evening activities will take place from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in and around the Hancock Adams Common, 1305 Hancock Street, under a heated tent as well as inside Quincy City Hall and the Church of the Presidents. All events are free to the public and will include ice sculpture demonstrations, fire performances, educational shows, bands and more. Visit quincyma.gov and the City of Quincy’s Facebook page for a full schedule of events.

Some shows require free tickets to reserve your space in advance including Lollipop Lyra Aerialist, Dinoman Dinosaurs Show, Blue Hills Trailside Museum - Birds of Prey, Blue Hills Trailside Museum - Reptiles of Massachusetts and Pumpernickel Puppets Show. Visit the Game Tent between the Church of the Presidents and City Hall from 12:00 p.m.– 1 :00 p.m. on the day of the event to secure your tickets. Patrons are welcome to reserve up to 4 tickets per family per each themed show to allow multiple families to have access to each event.

Food for purchase will be available from Craig’s Café including chili, clam chowder, adult and kids beverages. What’s Up, Cupcake will have dessert for sale.

The Quincy Art Association’s QArts Gallery, located at 1229 Hancock St. near the Hancock Adams Common, will be open from 1:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. for visitors. Visit https://www.quincyartma.org for more information on their exhibits and programs.

The Skating Rink at the Generals Park will also be open on Monday, February 19 for free skating. Visit QuincyRec.com for details and sign-up information.
